“Azadi Tower” – Tehran, Iran – Mohammad Reza Domiri Ganji – Featured Photographer

Charlie’s Super Fantastic Photo Tip of the Day:  Try different lenses for the same subject. If you think you should use a zoom lens then use a super wide lens instead. Need a wide angle? Then zoom in close for a new creative image.

I have to admit that I know very little about Iran and its monuments and buildings.  But through the beauty of photography Mohammad displays it beautifully. Read his story below then check out his amazing gallery from the Middle East at http://www.fotoblur.com/people/ganji/gallery

This Photo shows “Azadi Tower” (Tower of Freedom) located in Tehran, Iran . Built in 1971 in commemoration of the 2500th anniversary of the Persian Empire, and has been the symbol of the city for some years.  Using a panorama technique, I found some Great and new POV for Architecture photography.  The photo is made of 3 bracketed shots, stitched with PTGui Pro. This Special POV was selected in this program and tone mapped in Photomatix.  By the way I was lucky to have such lovely clouds in the sky!

Camera:  Canon EOS 7D
Lens: Sigma 8mm Fisheye

  28. It is an amazing shot where the clouds look like they are swirling around the building. I’m going to try that tip of using the opposite lens for a different approach. Thanks.

  35. The monochromatic nature of the coloring makes the image more imposing and impressive.

  36. Nice!

  37. Very striking and unusual.

  38. Like so many photos that Photobotos features, this one is a lesson in perspective. The fact that it is impressive as hell is really it’s second best feature, for me. The first is the software used to create it, the way you used that software, and the results! Terrific shot.

  39. As always, stunning!

  40. This is simply AMAZING!

  41. Proud image

  42. This shot really is a masterpiece. The way the swirl of clouds in the sky breaks where the shadow of light changes on the face of the building is surreal. The colors, the lines, the perspective … all create an awesome whole. Major kudos to the photographer!

  43. Fantastic!

  44. Beautiful, and more importantly, an ‘inspiring’ shot!

  45. Spectacular!

  46. This is quite a contrast between what God has made and what man has made! I’m not sure that’s what you were planning on! But what an interesting picture. Thanks for sharing!

  47. Nicely conceived image

  48. That’s one heckofa fantastic shot!
