Best Friends? – Playa Carmen, MX
Monkeys are pretty cool. This spider monkey walked up to my soon on the hotel porch to ask for a peach. He had stolen one earlier in the day and was back for more. When he noticed we were fresh out he just stuck around for some friendly conversation. Please feel free to send us any photos you have of interactions with wild animals. We would love to see them!
Share and Enjoy

So natural
Monkies rock the world!
Adorable!
I feel like Veruca Salt. Daddy, I want a spider monkey now~
If this is Play de Carmen in Mexico,I heard that it has beautiful women.
Yes! and Yes.
What a riot! Love it!
Is the monkey a family member? I have a show on community access tv called The Paw Stops Here ( a paraphrase of the buck stops here). I love bringing these stories to our viewers. Any way we can do a skype interview? If you would like to see my show it is on http://www.vcat.tv. It is shown on Mondays and Saturdays at 5:50pm, PST.
Although it is a dead ringer for my brother Tom, we are not related. He is completely wild, but has a sweet tooth for peaches!

i post more heavymetal and rock Alt on my bLog
Love the ‘smile’ on the monkey’s face…so like the child’s!
Great catch!
They both seem to enjoy each other. Very cute.
A really charming picture
u know monkeys are really strange! and lovely! i once saw a monkey grabbing on to the dead mummified skeleton of its baby… apparently the baby monkey had been dead for a few days but the mother would never let got of it nevertheless and would scare away anyone who tries! talk about motherly love!
and recently my dad had his get together with his college friends on a hill top which was swarming with monkeys! il try and send you the pictures but im not sure how to get about it! the monkeys were taking away bottles of juice and water and one was even unscrewing the bottle and drinking while another one jus made a big hole in the bottle and was drinking upside down! it was amazing to watch!
How sweet. How recently was this taken? I love parents who raise their kids to love and appreciate nature and all of her creatures. Where I live I see parents teach their children to be so afraid of things. I ache for their little hearts. They grow up wrecks because their parents are.
Great photo as usual.
Susannah
Thanks Susannah. It was from last October. Great Comment As Usual!
Great shot! Wild monkeys have become to complacent with humans, which is a good indicator that their natural habitat is rapidly depleting! I will submit one of my red fox pics…
So true. Also we would love to see your photos!
Cute monkey; cute boy child – From the look of his ‘tummy’ that little Spider monkey has seen his fair share of ‘peaches’
