Cave Of Hearts -  Doi Pha Tang, Chiang Rai, Thailand – Anuchit Keanu

In Anuchit Keanu’s biography he states something like “my best photo is yet to be taken”. I really like that he wrote this because it is how I like to approach photography. Our favorite session should be our next because we are out doing what we love to do. Whether we are in our backyard or on the plains of Africa, there is always something beautiful to photograph. If your backyard is the plains of Africa like some of our feature photographers then you have the best of both worlds. Consider yourself blessed.

I must admit when I first saw this image I thought it was one shot. When I realized it was a composition I wasn’t disappointed, but rather excited about what can be created in the mind of great photographers. Please read below how Anuchit created this image and then visit his exquisite portfolio from his home land of Thailand.

This picture taken at Doi Pha Tang in the morning on New Year Day January 1, 2012. I photographed these two pictures. First picture, taken the view point Doi Pha Tang is the sea of fog, Mekong River looking across to Laos. Next picture, Pha Bong is Tham Lod cave to Laos. To take a one shot from the darkness into the light is difficult because of the high contrasts of light against dark or dark against light. So I was combining two images in Adobe Photoshop.

First Picture

Camera: Nikon d90
Lens:  kit 18-105mm
Shutter speed: 1/40
Aperture: f16
ISO: 100

Focal length: 26mm

Next picture

Camera: Nikon d90
Lens:  kit 18-105mm

Shutter speed: 1/5
Aperture: f8
ISO: 100
Focal length: 18mm
