“Children at Play” – Pulau Tuba, Langkawi Island, Malaysia – Ahmad Budiman – Featured Photographer
When I was a kid you couldn’t get me out of the water. Even today, I am always the last one back on the boat. The expressions on these two little boys’ faces are priceless. Timing is everything! One in anticipation of the water below and the other in awe of the day he can jump as far as his brother. Childhood is great and I think Ahmad captured this beautifully in his photo. I have two young boys and could picture them doing the exact same thing half a world away. I live in Malaysia and work as a teacher. I like to walk while carrying a camera. I love the children. This picture tells the story of the lives of children in rural areas in Malaysia. The children here love to bathe and play together in the evening. You will be able to feel peace here. You can’t see this action as frequently in urban areas because of rapid progress in Malaysia. A child’s life is fun and I would like to share this joy with everyone and maybe they will have a fond memory of their own childhood.
