Fairytale Lake

“Fairytale Therapy” – Budapest, Hungary – Adam Dobrovits – Featured Photographer

Adam named this really cool image “Fairytale Therapy”.  Which fairytale do you think it represents?  This is one of those images where the reflection is so still you could flip the image upside down and it would still look normal.  The photo is warm and inviting I wish I could jump in for a swim. After checking out the specifics of the image below head over to Adam’s Facebook page (CLICK HERE) and website http://www.adamdobrovits.com/ for some more relaxing imagery.

The photos were taken in Hungary near to Budapest early in the morning.
The air was so still (clear reflection) and sunny like in a Hungarian dream.

  7. A real fairytale is the photography by itself! Excellent color and theme composition!

  8. Gorgeous!

  9. River hobbits dwell here, surely?

  13. Wonderful scene beautifully composed and captured. This truly is a fairy-tale.

  14. 7700K and you STILL managed to get such warm colors!?!?!?

That’s amazing. Makes me wonder how it would’ve looked at 5500K.

  15. So pretty!

  16. It looks more like a painting than a photo. Nice effect.

  17. Really another World! Nice! Ann

  18. This would be a beautiful painting as well as a photograph. Breathtaking! :)

  19. Amazing! Goodness, it takes your breath away…

  20. I’m with Shana – I could live there forever…How peaceful & beautiful – But I’ll bet it gets very cold there too in Hungary – so I’d have to spend 1/2 my time there and 1/2 my time here in Phoenix, AZ… Thanks for sharing this photo with us!

  21. It does really look like fairyland. I don’t like HDR most of time … it tends to be too over the top for my taste but this, I like very much! Would make a great illustration or book cover.

  22. I must say I really love your website – but there’s one thing that makes my eyes go crazy, literary. I can’t read more than one paragraph at once because of the black background and the white letters, could you possibly change it to white background and black letters?

  23. Amazing! what a photo!! WOW

  24. I could live there forever!

  25. it is a beautiful photograph, but i’m ready to bet the reflection is fake and has been added in post-production. it is the top part of the image flipped and pasted.

see, a real reflected image never perfectly matches the original one, due to the different distances between subjects. for example, the way branches criss-cross each other should look a little different in the original and the reflection. here, they are identical.

  26. Beautful. it reminds me a bit of the coutry area of North Carolina where my brother lives.

  27. Just beautiful….

  28. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. That is a fairy tale lake… GORGEOUS :)

  30. Astonishingly sharp–rather the opposite of what’s often used as fantasy imagery–that frequent preference given to hazy, soft-focus stuff that’s vague instead of crystal clear like this. That’s what’s really magical here: a seemingly un-fake-able beauty rarely seen.

  31. Beautiful! I can always look forward to seeing the best photos here. Have a great day everyone. :)

  33. Fairy tale lake indeed. This is something out of a storybook. Wow!

  34. beautiful color and reflections. A gorgeous autumn photograph. thank you!

  35. To me, this is one of those photos where, if you are feeling at all stressed, you could sit in front of it, take a few deep breaths, and instant calm! Fabulous!

  36. when i opened this post i said, “oh wow!” beautiful :)

  37. How gloriously pristine.

  38. Wrong time of the year, but the photograph is as nice, subtle and mystical as they come.

  43. I always like a picture that can be tuned upside down and looks almost exactly the same because of the perfect reflection.

  44. I want to be there………….how beautiful

  45. First impression-a Kincade painting. Love the reflection

  46. Wonderful …. love the autumn/fall!

  47. Truly spectacular. Autumn is my most favorite season, this picture captures the colors of the season well.

  48. Oh my goodness, this is breathtaking–it looks like a painting. It did look like autumn at first, but morning sun can be very strong at the red end of the spectrum.

  49. Looks like a setup from Merlin or lord of the rings :-) Magical indeed..

  50. Beautifully colorful landscape!

  51. Looks beautiful though, this photo puzzling me.
    Why needed to use F22.
While having morning sun (very reddish) yet Color balance
was set to 7000K = so that the tree looks like autumn color
though, why the lest kept natural color. ? ? ?
(Considering it was taken a week or so ago = not autumn)
Seems this Zoom on 10mm looks not too bad, except corner.

  52. So peaceful..!

  53. Now THAT’S breathtaking!

  54. breathtaking

  55. Absolutely beautiful! Perfect even! It makes me want to go there…

  56. beautiful one!
