Kiss Me (Dog and Snail) - Belen Argueso Castelos
Sometimes you just have to go for the cute factor and this image is full of it. The expression on the dog’s face is priceless. I am sure if I could read snail expressions that would be priceless as well. I also like how Belen mad it black and white which gives it a very timeless feel. Please read her story below to find out what happened after this photo was snapped and then visit her beautiful portfolio http://www.flickr.com/photos/aanjay and follow her blog here http://belenargueso.blogspot.com.es/ .

This is one of the first pictures I took with my first Digital SLR camera. The picture quality is not very technical and is taken at home. I practiced a lot with my particular model, my dog Thyson, and this image was made by chance. I was amused and shocked when I walked into the street and saw the snails sliding down the sidewalk, so I grabbed one and took it home. I put it on a chair near Thyson. Both the snail and Thyson were very curious just prior to touch him on the nose. Once they touched Thyson he jumped with fright.

Well, this picture seems to have been a real challenge. The dog’s eye lost the focus battle, but that really doesn’t detract from the effect. Lovely, especially when you know that in another second the dog will jump.
OooooHH!!! This is so cute!!! From what you had described I guess there wasn’t much time to plan the shot. If focus statcking was done to keep the eye of the dog in focus, this would’ve been a perfefct shot. Nevertheless, it’s still damn cute.
Stunning and magical photo!!!
Don’t tell me–right after the pic was taken one of them ate the other one!
Just lovely … and adorable – brilliant shot.
Adorable!
I can feel the tension.
