Sometimes fiction can’t hold a candle to reality. In this case, the “alien” is a skate (stingray like fish) in the Rotterdam Zoo. Add a little HDR technique and you have a floating being from another world. I work for a company that creates stingray exhibits around the country so this one is a bit special to me. This picture was taken at the Rotterdam Zoo (Netherlands) and as is so often the case it was pure luck. You can’t wait for the animals to pose in the desired manner like models do in front of a camera. So, one has to apply a great portion of patience to take such pictures.
