Rolling Clouds (Sky Tsunami) – Geneva, Switzerland – Alex Teuscher
Weather patterns always make great subjects and this one is spectacular. It looks like a large breaking wave cresting over the mountainside. Alex Teuscher is great at Adobe Photoshop as seen here in his previous post “Dare to Dream” but he assures me this image is one hundred percent real. Please read his story below to find out the story behind the image. Also if you have a great weather image feel free to pass it along to us by email or in the comment section below. This photo was taken as part of my project 365, which I started a little over a month ago. So far it’s been very rewarding, as evidenced by this photo, but also extremely tough! If only every day I could get shots like this one! Anyway, I digress.
This photo I’m quite proud of. I was walking along the Lake Leman, looking for something to photograph for the day, when I saw the clouds slowly creeping over the Saleve (local mountain overlooking Geneva). It was pretty awe inspiring and I quickly took the photo and knew I had my image.
I have had some comments online with people saying it is composited and so on, but there is no retouching done on this image, simply an adjustment to levels and contrast, and then a little color balance correction.
