Our tuxedo cat, Patrick, was laying on the hood of our Suburban — basking in the sunshine. His almost-closed eyes weren’t fooling anyone. He was slyly taking in the activity at the bird feeder about six feet away.

The swish and flick of his tail was a giveaway to what was on his mind, so I slowly got out of my lawn chair and went into the house to get the camera.

By the time I got back, I’d missed ”The Leap” and was left looking at ”the cat that ate the canary.” He didn’t really eat a bird — he just wore the extremely self-satisfied expression of a cat who did!

  4. I love this shot! I am a cat lover; how did he get the name “Patrick?” We have an 11 year old Calico. She has always been a small cat because she was feral.

  5. He definitely has a satisfied expression. He’s very handsome as well.

  6. I Love this ! :D
